Anita Ford retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District as the Personnel Director. Prior to that position, she served as Deputy General Manager of the Personnel Department of the City of Los Angeles after 25 years of progressively responsible experience, including Assistant Personnel Director over Recruitment, Selection and Staff Development with the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Ms. Ford has served as a Commissioner on the Personnel Commission of the Los Angeles County Office of Education since December 1990 and the Hacienda La Puente Personnel Commission since 1988 with a break from 1996 until 2000.

Ms. Ford, who holds lifetime membership in PTC-SC. WRIPAC and SCPMA, has been active in numerous professional HR organizations and has been recognized with several awards including:

1993 Stephen E. Bemis Memorial Award of Excellence in Personnel Management

1993 Emery Olson Award for Outstanding Achievement (SCPMA)

2001 Muriel Morse Award of Excellence, IPMA Western Region

2005 Schuyler C. Joyner Award of Excellence

2006 LA Community College District For Support of the PACE Program

She was awarded a B.S., Economics from CSULA and has completed considerable graduate work in Industrial Psychology.
