Kimberly Israel is the current Coordinator of Community Outreach for the Escondido Union School District (EUSD). Kimberly began her career in education over 20 years ago as a middle school and high school teacher, and transitioned her role to a school social worker after obtaining her Masters in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Michigan in 1999. Kimberly obtained her California License in Clinical Social Work in 2003 and her California School Administrator Credential in 2010. During her 17-year tenure with the Escondido Union School District, Kimberly has served as a school social worker, pupil services administrator, the Project Director for the CARE Youth Project, the Escondido Union School District’s Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative, and as the Coordinator of Community Outreach. In 2009, Kimberly was honored as Administrator of the Year for the Escondido Union School District and in 2013, was the Community Impact Award Recipient for the City of Escondido by the Community Alliance for Escondido (CAFÉ). Kimberly was a contributing author in the textbook, “School Social Work: National Perspectives on Practice in Schools”, and has presented on the national, state, and local level on a variety of topics related to school-based student and family support services.
