Dr. Debra Dupree, the President and Founder of Relationships at Work, Inc. is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer.  She has mediated hundreds of workplace and family disputes spanning 20+ years and seen relationships at work and home damaged by poor communication and conflict management skills.  Known as an expert in corporate communication, workplace conflict, and “Emotional Intelligence,” her training sessions provide immediate takeaways to put into action. She is the author of “The Psychology of Good Bosses vs. Bad Bosses” and “Unlocking the Keys to Happiness:  Discovering Your Emotional Potential.”

Debra’s career includes several teaching stints over the last 20 years.  As the Director of Training for Mediation Training Institute (MTI), she trained professionals from all walks of life throughout North America to become workplace mediators for employment-related disputes.  In this role, she also co-taught management-level training in workplace conflict resolution strategies in corporations and government agencies with President | Founder | Author Dr. Dan Dana.  She later served five years as an Adjunct Professor in National University’s graduate and undergraduate ADR programs with another five years at California Western School of Law teaching negotiation, mediation and arbitration.  More recently, she’s been on the faculty at Ryokan College teaching various psychology courses at the graduate and doctoral levels.

Today, she resides in the lovely seaside community of Coronado with her two yorkie-poms, Snickers and Wolfie, after successfully launching her two children, Erin and Brett, to college where they both study at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Engineering.  Her love is sailing and she is getting ready to go on the “Bridge” as Rear Commodore at the Coronado Cays Yacht Club.  Debra, herself, grew up on the younger end of a family of 9 and in the midst of a family-owned business. Dealing with conflict and experiencing the clash of different personalities came to her at an early age, stimulating a life-long fascination with the study of human behavior and achieving peace and calm in all walks of life.
